Thermocouples and RTD are manufactured as standard sensors as per the detailed drawings. We have made the detailed drawings to make it easy for you to choose the correct type for your requirements. Standard sensors as per the drawings are manufactured in series and we can, therefore, supply these on short notice. Other types and versions to drawings and samples can be supplied.

Thermocouple Thermocouples are fabricated by joining together two electrical conductors, each made of different metal alloys. This junction generates a small mill volt signal that changes with temperature. The signal is sent to an electronic device, which is used to display and/or control the temperature. The most common calibrations for thermocouples are types J, K.

RTD Resistance temperature detectors (RTD’s) use the change in the electrical resistance of a wire wound device with a positive temperature coefficient to signal a change in the temperature. While more expensive, RTDs offer more accurate linear readings than thermocouples. However they have longer response times, are not “tip sensitive”, and are more subject to damage from vibration. RTDs, Resistance Temperature Detectors, primarily utilize platinum (alternatively nickel or other materials). For applications less than 600 degrees Celsius, RTDs are utilized in as an external sensor to precisely control a heater.

    The thermocouple K-type connector''s spring clamp contact design reduces wire termination time drastically compared to market standard screw type contact systems and provides a stable contact force over time.

    Thermocouple wire connectors are round pin standard size, 2 pole TC connectors designed to connect TC wire or temperature sensor instrumentation with a temperature controller or process control HMI automation panel. They are compatible with any other similarly sized Male, 2 prong thermocouple plug or 2 pins Female thermocouple jack. The female TC jack is Universal and will accept either the mini or standard size male TC plug. Hollow pins of thermocouple compensating alloy are used. This TC connector is also available with a solid 2 pin design.
